How Alter Living collects, uses and stores your information when you use this website.
This website is operated by legal entity name to be confirmed (“Alter Living”, “we”, “us”). Registered address: registered address to be confirmed. Questions about this policy can be sent to support email to be confirmed.
Last updated: date to be confirmed on publication
1. Information we collect
We collect only what the website needs in order to work:
- Account information: your name, email address, an optional phone number, and a securely hashed password. We never store your password itself.
- Order information: the items you order, the delivery address, contact phone number and email, any delivery notes, and the payment method selected.
- Enquiries: the details you submit through the Contact Us form or the Book a Workshop form, including your name, email, phone number where given, company name for workshop requests, and your message.
- Newsletter: your email address and subscription status, if you subscribe.
- Back-in-stock requests: the email address you give us so we can tell you when an item returns.
- Cart and wishlist: the items you add, linked either to your account or to an anonymous cart identifier stored in a cookie.
We do not collect payment card details. Cash on Delivery is the only payment method currently offered, and no card information passes through this website.
2. Cookies
This website sets two cookies, both strictly necessary:
- Session cookie: set when you sign in, so you stay signed in. It holds a random session identifier, is HTTP-only, and expires after session length as configured.
- Cart cookie: set when you add something to your cart, so a guest cart survives between visits. It holds a random cart identifier and no personal data.
No advertising or tracking cookies are set. If an analytics provider is added in future, this section will be updated before it goes live.
3. How we use your information
- To create and maintain your account.
- To process, deliver and support your orders.
- To respond to enquiries and workshop requests.
- To send the newsletter, if you subscribed, until you unsubscribe.
- To notify you when an out-of-stock item you asked about is available.
- To keep the website secure and to prevent misuse.
We do not sell your personal information.
4. Sharing
We share personal information only where it is needed to run the service, for example with a delivery partner in order to fulfil an order, or with a service provider that hosts the website or sends email on our behalf.
The specific providers are hosting provider to be confirmed, email provider to be confirmed, payment provider to be confirmed and analytics provider to be confirmed. This section will name each provider once selected.
5. Retention
Account and order records are kept for as long as the account exists and for as long afterwards as is needed for tax, accounting and legal obligations: retention period to be confirmed. Enquiries and newsletter records are kept until they are no longer needed or until you ask us to remove them.
6. Your rights
Subject to applicable law, you may ask us to access, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you, or to stop sending you marketing messages. You can update your name and phone number yourself from your account page, and unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time.
To make a request, contact us at support email to be confirmed.
7. Security
Passwords are hashed before storage. Session and cart identifiers are random values held in HTTP-only cookies. Access to order and customer data is restricted to the signed-in account it belongs to.
8. Children
This website is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under minimum age to be confirmed.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the website changes. The version shown here is always the current one.
